Last Thursday, the Brantford Police Street Crime Unit apprehended a suspect on drug related charges.

This is yet another investigation into people trafficking cocaine from residences in the City of Brantford.

Grupreet Singh Sandhu, 28, was arrested Thursday evening after Police executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act Search Warrant at Sandhu’s Albion Street address.

Police found Sandhu in the possession of 3.5 ounces of cocaine and 1.5 ounces of crack cocaine, a combined street value of approximately $8,000.

Sandhu has been charged with trafficking a controlled substance, possession with the purpose to traffic and possession of the proceeds of crime.

This incident comes just two days after a warrant was executed on a Brant Avenue residence.

In that case, Brantford Police, along with the assistance of the Waterloo Police K9 Unit, found marijuana at the location and two residents were arrested.

The Brantford Police Service encourages anyone with information on drug trafficking or other drug related crimes to contact them.
