Enjoy Student Cooking: Stir Fry

Here is everything you need to know.

Cost
– Beef Strips  (1 pound) – $7
– Peppers (2) – $3.50
– Rice (1 cup) – $0.50
– Bean Sprouts – $2.50
– Onion (1) – $0.45
– Garlic (1) – $0.15

Ingredient list
– 1 Pound beef strips
– 3 Bell peppers
– 1 Onion
– 1 Bag of bean sprouts
– 1 Cup of rice
– Salt/pepper
– Chili-flakes
– Chicken stock
– Garlic
– Soy Sauce
– Olive oil

Cooking
Rice:
– 1 cup of rice
– 2 cups of chicken stock
– 1.5 Tbs (table spoons) of salt
– Cook until liquid has evaporated and rice is cooked through

Stir Fry
– Take beef strips, soy sauce, and garlic and put in a plastic bag to marinate for 15 min.
– Hot pan with 2 Tbs of olive oil
– Add in chopped onion and peppers
– Season with salt and pepper
– Saute vegetables until they have a nice roasted colour
– Make room in pan and add in beef
– Continue to cook and stir until all sides of beef are seared
– Add in 100 ml of chicken stock and 2.5 tbs of soy sauce
– Continue cooking until most of the liquid evaporates. (about 2 min)
– Add in half of your been sprouts and stir.
– season to your taste
– Turn off heat.

Serve
– Pour beef and vegetable mixture over rice (include sauce from pan
– Garnish with fresh bean sprouts
– Drizzle 1 tsp (tea spoon) of soy sauce on top
