Scott Martins, a fourth year Criminology student, was hired as the Students' Union's next Executive Vice President Brantford on February 10th. Martins, the current Associate Vice President of Internal Operations, has had his eye on the EVP position ever since he got his current job.

A new Crime Stoppers program has been started up on campus at Laurier. As an offshoot of Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers, and in collaboration with Special Constable Services, the new program has been made especially for the Laurier campus.

A Laurier Brantford residence was evacuated at approximately 7:30pm this evening due to a small kitchen fire. University officials were not available to comment on the cause of the fire at this time, however it appears to be caused by a small kitchen fire in one of the Post House residence rooms. Laurier Brantford is embracing the digital age through a new $100,000 venture called the Digital Display Project. Its goal is to improve cross-campus communications though a series of digital display screens.
